The Education Coordinator on Steroids
Leading to BNI Biz to Biz chapter increasing TYFCB by 250%!

Dr. Joe Amanfu, the education coordinator for Biz to Biz chapter in Tallahassee, FL, calls himself the “Education Coordinator on Steroids”—and there is good reason for it. BNI Biz to Biz is four and a half years old with 50 members. After completing the fourth week of the Fast Track curriculum, the chapter increased their TYFCB by 250 percent. When Dr. Joe gives you the report, he always prefaces it by, “You are not going to believe what I am about to tell you.”

How, you may ask, is this possible? As you will hear from chapter members – it’s a combination of purpose, focus, teamwork, and, most importantly, enthusiasm.

“We thought that as a chapter we were at Profitability,” say Dr. Joe.  “But after we did the VCP exercises, most of us realized we were at Visibility. That really started us thinking.  An eye-opener for me was when I realized that I wasn’t at Profitability with any chapter member. We define Profitability according to how Dr. Misner explains it in the BNI Networking Secrets CDs.  In fact, when we all realized that we were basically at Visibility, we got busy and increased our 1-to-1s by 45 percent - after just four weeks!”

Maria Hendrickson the assistant director for the chapter says the 250 percent increase in TYFCB is a direct reflection of the VCP Process®. “I have been a member of Biz to Biz for three years and served as chapter president and thought I was at Credibility and Profitability with members. But when we did the exercises it was a real eye opener on where you really are. After that, the quality of our 1-to-1s became more defined and focused. I’m actually using the VCP Process® in my business with my clients—and it’s just amazing.”

Mike Cross, the past president of the chapter says, “We were a tight team before, and I think this program has brought us even closer. What’s different now is that we have a much stronger business focus. Everyone is taking the concepts we are learning in Fast Track and following through with them and actually enjoying it. The enthusiasm it is generating is just amazing.”

“The energy starts from Leadership,” says Maria. “Our Leadership Team is behind Fast Track 100 percent and their commitment and enthusiasm for the program went out to all our members, and that’s made a big difference.  It’s been phenomenal.”

Joel Salley, a Biz to Biz member says, “It has unified us and put us on the same page. New members understand the BNI process better, and members who have been in the group are reminded of the fundamentals. Despite the recession we’ve been in, we have seen much greater profitability with one another than what we saw at this time last year.”

Biz to Biz member June Townsend uses a term to describe what’s happening with Fast Track that she uses in her business – IPA. “For once everyone is more focused on income producing activities and what we need to do to make BNI as successful as possible.”

“The Fast Track program and the curriculum have changed my life,” says Maria, “and I believe our chapter is different and better for it.”
