When I graduated five years ago in business studies I wanted to further develop the fledgling computer business that I hatched in the bedroom of my flat.

As I sought networking opportunities, someone referred me to BNI. Thanks to hard work and the help of BNI, my business has grown so quickly that I now have six full-time staff and am set to roll out franchises nationwide, starting in northeast England.

It's been a remarkable rise for me, climaxing when I recently received the accolade of Edinburgh's Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

My ultimate aim is to provide the best computer support franchise in the United Kingdom. I become our clients' IT department and remove all the technical hassles, so businessmen and women can concentrate on running their own company.

It's been challenging but the company has enjoyed yearly growth. Last year it was up 70 percent and that was in a difficult economy.

Robertson Technologies certainly had humble beginnings in my student flat my final year at Edinburgh University. But through successful networking, I now have a list of satisfied clients throughout the central belt of Scotland.
