		<description>Last year, when I was serving as the VP of my chapter, we were at a position where absenteeism was very high.  It was a tough choice, but we trimmed the fat in our chapter--effectively decimating it from 23 members to 14.  In only a few months we are back at 21 members and are passing more referrals than ever.  This fiscal year, we are on track to pass twice as many referrals as last year.

In short: I agree, both in theory and practice, with this article.</description>
